Information is the oxygen of the modern age. – Ronald Reagan
The Coalition of Appraisers in Nevada (CAN ) was formed in 2010 to provide a voice for Nevada appraisers, offering reasonably priced, convenient continuing education
and professional networking opportunities for real estate appraisers
and other interested parties. CAN is committed to helping Nevada appraisers stay informed of legislation and regulations that affect the appraisal industry.
NV c&r fee study
In September 2016 CAN funded the only public customary & reasonable fee study produced in compliance with the Dodd Frank Act and approved by the Nevada Real Estate Division. Result of the study can be found HERE. Thank you to all appraisers who donated to this study. All appraisers and AMC's are encouraged to review the results to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
At its February 6 Board of Directors meeting, CAN elected the following new board members:

Join CAN today - it's quick and easy to do. One appraiser alone cannot make a big difference in our profession state-wide, but appraisers banding together CAN make a difference. It's time that appraisers continue to have some some representation in our state legislature about issues that affect our profession on a daily basis.
The more appraisers who join CAN, the more powerful we can be as a grassroots group that gets involved and actually does something about legislation affecting appraisers today.
CAN is also a Board of Governors member of the National Association of Appraisers (NAA). Every CAN member is also an Affiliate member of the NAA. As an NAA BOG member, CAN is also represented on a national level and additional benefits are available (i.e. discounts on DISTO products, ANOW business software, Appraiser e-Learning, Solomon Calculator, etc.). - Contact us for more details.
